The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Education and Training Management is designed to develop practical teaching skills and prepare learners to work in a wide range of education and training contexts. It combines six Level 4 units with six Level 5 units, giving learners a structured pathway that builds from core principles into more advanced management and leadership topics.

Applicants should meet OTHM’s published entry profile and be suitable for study in education and training. Centres are responsible for confirming suitability before registration.
Relevant Level 3 Diploma, GCE Advanced Level in 2 subjects, equivalent qualification, or mature learner status with relevant management experience
English language competence, clear communication skills, minimum literacy, language, numeracy and ICT, and no criminal background that would prevent work with young people or vulnerable adults
All units are assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Learners must achieve all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit through a portfolio of evidence. There is no formal teaching practice requirement for this qualification.
