Course requirements

Entry is intended for learners with appropriate prior academic achievement or relevant management experience. Learners must be at least 21 years old, and those from non-majority English-speaking countries must provide evidence of English language competency.

  • An honours degree in a related subject or a UK Level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification

  • Mature learners with management experience and learners aged 21 or above at the beginning of the course

Assessments

The qualification is internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is criterion referenced, and learners must meet all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit to achieve a pass.

  • Logistics Management is assessed by a 4500-word report

  • Supply Chain Planning, Modelling and Analytics is assessed by a 2500-word portfolio of tasks and a 2500-word report

  • Procurement and Supply Management and Sustainable Operations Management are assessed by 4500-word essays, while Supply Chain and Operations Strategy is assessed by a 4500-word report

  • Business Research Methods is assessed by a 2500-word research proposal

Progression

Achieving this qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue further study. Because the qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual, learners may progress to Master’s top-up programmes with advanced standing at many universities in the UK and overseas.
