About course

The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Psychology is designed to provide learners with a specialist programme of study that develops depth of knowledge and understanding across key areas of psychology. The qualification combines Level 4 and Level 5 units, with 120 credits studied at each level, and is equivalent in academic terms to the first two years of a UK honours degree.

Course requirements

Applicants are typically expected to meet OTHM’s published entry profile and, where applicable, demonstrate English language competence.

  • Relevant Level 3 Diploma qualification, GCE Advanced Level in 2 subjects, or equivalent qualification; mature learners over 21 with relevant experience may also be considered by the delivery centre

  • Learners from non-majority English-speaking countries must provide evidence of English language competency in line with OTHM requirements

Assessments

All units are assessed by coursework and internally quality assured by the centre, with external verification by OTHM. Learners must meet all learning outcomes and assessment criteria to achieve a pass.
