Course requirements

Entry to this qualification is based on OTHM’s published requirements for prior study, age and English language competency where applicable.

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 diploma or an equivalent recognised qualification, or mature learner status with management experience; learners must be aged 18 or above at the beginning of the course

  • Learners from non-majority English-speaking countries must provide evidence of English language competency in line with OTHM English language expectations

Assessments

All units are assessed according to OTHM’s published assessment and verification requirements. Assessment is criterion referenced, and learners must meet all learning outcomes and assessment criteria to achieve a pass.

  • All units are internally assessed by the centre

  • All units are externally verified by OTHM

  • The qualification is graded on a Pass/Fail basis

  • Assessment is through coursework and reports, with unit assessments typically set at approximately 3500 to 5000 words

Progression

Successful completion of this qualification supports both academic and professional progression. OTHM states that learners may progress to higher-level study and relevant advanced-entry university pathways.
